We all know that investing in women is the key to ending world poverty. Women’s share of the labor force is increasing in almost all regions of the world. Women now comprise more than 40 percent of the paid global labor force, and we know that women also perform much more than our share of the world’s unpaid labor (cooking, childcare, growing crops, and more). What can going green do to affect peace? This is a question I found myself asking time and time again. Peace movements and organizations worldwide promote being environmentally friendly, and I thought maybe it was just a side note, not really related to peace but a nice idea.
