Building on the successful Peace X Peace model, women in the Connection Point community reclaim collective ground truths. Through the process of reading articles, writing and reading commentaries, and engaging in open dialogue, they bridge cultural divides and cultivate and share empathy.
This is your chance to help reduce misunderstanding between Muslim, Arab and Western communities, and to strengthen the growing movement of people working for peace.
I applaud the work of Peace X Peace and the creation of its new project, Connection Point, to create and sustain dialogue between the Western world and the Middle East. With popular uprisings and political change sweeping Egypt and the broader region, the launch of this initiative is timely. Empowering women advances international security interests, promotes political stability, economic growth, respect for human rights and universal freedoms. The evidence is clear: everyone benefits when women’s voices are raised and heard.
