Tips for Volunteers

Tip One: Specific examples of connections in the Global Network mean the most to any woman learning about our global community for the first time. Stories hold the heart of our Global Network.

Tip Two: Repeat the basics. We like referring to our FAQ's for members and our Virtual Classroom, where there are written documents, recordings, and live calls with Kay.

Tip Three: Creating an intimate environment through one of our recommended events can capture the feeling of connecting with women worldwide - a global neighborhood of women. Consider hosting an event.

Tip Four: Common questions and support

Introducing the Peace X Peace global community

  • Emphasize the chance to connect on the issues they care about. Help them imagine the possibilities if they were to connect with women worldwide.
  • Collect contact information. Either enter it or send it to Peace X Peace. They will receive a confirmation email.
  • We have business card templates for you. Please contact Liora, liora@peacexpeace.org
  • Technology simply intimidates some women. Be patient and help them over the hurdle.
  • Follow-up is everything! Find what works for you.

Helping

Sit with someone who is interested and help them register. We guarantee they will be excited.

Tracking your results

When a volunteer has shared enthusiastically we often see a sudden rise of membership from a particular region of the world. Ask the women you reach to indicate your name when asked "How did you hear about Peace X Peace?"
