one aspect of the issue is that sexual violence is more to women issue as they bear the consequences as a result of it in their whole life specially when they are living in a traditional settings and the other aspect of the issue is that they cannot stop violence themselves. it is in the hands of men to stop the violence. But for ending violence, together they can understand that it is not men only but the puppets of structure where both are controlled in the same way.
it is a womens issue, but not only a womens issue…it is a societal issue. violence against women impacts all aspects of a society; economic, social, spiritual, etc. Of course while the majority of sexual violence is men against women it can also happen the other way around, however, as women begin to bring more feminine principles into our lives, and live those principles as we raise our sons (who can grow up to be abusers), and interact with others, we have the power to shape the world and lessen the threat of sexual violence.
