Google runs ads next to emails using keywords from the email itself. On the side of one email I recently received ran this ad: “It’s gotten so bad that the UN has forecast two thirds of the world’s population will live in areas that are water-stressed by 2030. Hundreds of billions of dollars will be spent to avoid this crisis. And savvy investors will make a fortune.”
